Fall's Faith

This 12 x 12 acrylic original is on a birch deep edged panel. Don't you just love stain glass windows!

What I love most about them is the brilliance of the colors when the sunlight pours through them.

But their true beauty only works when placed in a window, a place where the sun can get at it. There is no beauty in a stain glass window, however masterfully made, if it is under a sheet in a dark cellar protecting it from breaking. You see there is a real risk to hanging it, it is possible it could be broken.

A long time ago I made a conciliatory decision to choose Faith over Fear in my life.

I want for my life to be full of moments when I let Gods light shine through me instead of hiding in fear.

This piece is a reminder to live, really and truly, leaning into every moment, with Faith.

It's also an encouragement to us who see it to let the light pour through us. All we must do is stand in faith, rather than hiding in the darkness.
