'Love comes down in shade' is a piece close to my heart. Trees are one of my most favorite things to paint. The perspective used in this painting is used to draw you in, closer to this gentle giant's beauty. Living in the desert I appreciate the restorative properties of a nice cool shaded spot. The refreshing coolness brings hope to a weary, warm traveler. The shade is a place, to rest, not strive. It reminds us that we can be still and receive... under it's boughs, reminded of it's Creator's provision and peace. Love and hope were painted with this picture.
