If you follow me on IG, you saw my story and you know that these warm tones were just supposed to be the underpainting to cover up an old painting that needed a new life. Under this piece are mountains and abstract ocean waves and wind.
After laying down these warm tones I was struck at what richness they spoke. So I asked my IG followers if i should keep them or keep going with my original plan to cover the warm tones with cool tones allowing only glimpses of the warmth to pop thru. Followers voted by 87% to keep these warm tones as is and not cover them up as planned and...
...VOILA? This piece has literal sparkle to her with some metallic gold and pink paints and a glossy redish-pink.
